• Image of Late Summer

It's that time of year when colors breathe gold and the clouds billow in the late summer humidity. Big Bluestem is tall and rusty in contrast to the clearing blue sky.

This painting measure 4"x6" and is done in oil.
Canvas is 1.5" deep and all sides are painted. No need for framing.

The style is alla prima, meaning first stroke. The paint is applied mindfully and not touched once it goes onto canvas. I love working this way and it it purposeful and makes me visualize and paint without hesitation.
